are these cd players any good? I read ducan's review on old sony pcdp's but the ones that were reccomended I can't find any where. These one's I think are even older and from the pictures I seen they're about the size of a cutting board. Anyone know if they sound nice?

The D-35 is a very good player, with some of the fanciest programming features I've seen on a pcdp. This one was designed for recording from CD to cassette tape, and has a variety of features, including the ability to program pauses and fade-in/fade-outs...all that and it sounds good too.

The D-2 is a more basic player, and the sound doesn't have quite as much finesse as the D-35. It still has the vintage Sony sound, however. IMO its a better sounding player than the Panasonic CT470, although the feature set is minimal.

Either is worth getting at a decent price. I haven't heard a D-11...yet
