I got a sony D-111 off Ebay today for 12.50. Does anyone out there have some previous experience with this model. I will be using it mainly to start experimenting with using the line out as my Pana 580 does not have one.

I've got one for about ten years(?) It is not portable in the present meaning eats batteries quickly, no shock protection, sound quality is average. It's head out has more power then the newest model's, has no spdif out but you can make one probably this is the best thing you can do for a better sound.

The D111 is a so so player. I remember that it has a powerful headphone out, but I can't remember how refine it was. Please, look at "Legendary PCDP Gallery" for a true legendary discman.
