So any definite word yet on these red MH750's from the BangBangStore? Are they legit?

DHL delivers mine on Wednesday. So I’ll have physical confirmation in 3 more days.

Mmm the red ones I have don't have that big qr code sticker, just the little white serial number paper on the cable itself. Oh well, still love the sound

The QR code wasn’t added until later batches. The earlier ones don’t have the QR code.

My source for MH755 ran out of stock and only have the MH750, should I try them if I already find the bass on the 755 adequate?

MH750 = MH755 (Both share the same drivers)

They are both one & the same, only differences are the longer cable and the mic, excluding the side air vent drivers of 2013/14 which are now extremely rare

#Be wary as most of the current 2013/14 MH750/755 batches those in this thread bought for the last 3 mths are Fakes!

Below an image of a side air vent 2014 MH750 which is super rare as all the new batches of MH750 & MH755 now comes with the centre air vent

Say, does this apply to the first batches of MH750? The one with only one hole on the nozzle & is overly bassy/dark. If so, I'm surprised! I never thought they have the same drivers as the MH755.

Red MH750 arrived today.

100% genuine, using the ‘center vent’ driver.

The shells are glued shut though, so I do not recommend taking them apart to recable or mmcx mod. I had to damage a shell to get it open for you guys :frowning2:

In relations to 2013/14 side vent and the later & current common centre air vent drivers

If I recalled there was also a mediation range that was called something else, just before the MH series was released via the Ericsson-Sony partnership from 2011-12

And shouldn't be a surprise as all Sony Comparison charts use MH750 naming and not MH755 as to Sony they are one and the same product when it came to comparing with other earphones

That was expected, as I mutilated my only pair and hurt my neck trying..
Sorry you had to sacrifice a red shell for this @Slater

In the future perhaps doing the A/B testing would be good enough :)

Im going to try to salvage them. But they won’t be perfect. I will have to fill in the bass vent with resin and drill a new vents on the underside of the shell. Also clean up all of the glue and the edge so the shell mates back together properly. A lot of work, but it was worth it to know.

The glue Sony used is insanely strong! If basically fused the plastic together. Likely solvent welding style glue.

I’m not exactly sure why they felt the needed to use glue so strong. It’s not like any of the other MH755 and MH750 had problems, and they had NO glue. Oh well.

Perhaps after the rampant users DIY filter and vent mods, Sony was trying to deter users from it by applying glue to seal their shells,..but later on, they even made suggestions and applaud it, and maybe this range was off the radar and experimental & extremely rare and was made in a special batch
