Alright so I just tried the MH750 with triple flange and with sponge eartips. With sponge they just become over-muffled. With flange they sound better to me, with more crispyness that they lack in the highs but the CRA still blow them away. I might experiment with EQ in the future when I get some time to see if it's a resolution issue or an EQ issue.IMO, the CRA is a step up over the MH755/750.

CRA has more at 5k and 10k+, that contributes to it being a lot airier and cleaner than the 755/750 at least for me.
(and without being a bit shouty due to the 3k area like on the 750/755).

If you guys want to turn your MH755/750 into something more aking to the older Sony XBA tuning.
Here you go.
Steps:
1. Remove the stock filter
2. Remove the low density tuning foam underneath the filter.
3. Place 1 piece of "Sony Import foams" in the nozzle.
Be aware that this is a irreversible mod as you are likely to tear the stock filter.
Here are the foams you need:

Enjoyable as the MH750s are, I wouldn't use them as a reference unless you also have something more neutral to compare them with. They are more V-shaped than reference.I'm really looking forward to my 2014 MH750s now, especially to check whether they're a good reference tool for my mixes and how they compare to my HD 650s.

And you can always EQ them to Harman and be golden of course...

Ebay report: bought a pack of 10 from seller rwtf3024 and the first one I tried is legit from how it sounds. These are going to be great small gifts for friends.
They were manufactured in 2017 so it makes me wonder how many of these are still out there. If sony can take these buds and wire them by USB-C and give them noise canceling, they’d have a killer formula.

Anyone have any advice how one would clean a pair of MH1Cs? The right side just lost sound and I highly suspect it's due to a combination of earwax or some other debris getting past the filter...
Hello
Can anyone tell me where to get MH750s genuine to the UK? So far I've only found a recabled one with the AKG Samsung cable, and the mic is defective on the pair being sold.
Didn't want to spend too much on it ofc.

You got any idea where I can buy UK/EU genuine MH750s?I also own the AKG/Samsung bundled IEM and the mic on it pales in comparison with the awesome mic that comes with the MH750, Just buy the MH750 as it is and you have 1.) Durable long cable with Mic 2.) SS that punches above higher priced IEMs
Gonna use the seller mentioned as that's the only one I've seen called genuine , he's selling the AKG re cabled one with defective mic that records at a low volume for £19.
I regret to inform you that Spassear on ebay, formerly pronounced reputable, sold me fake white ones. Like AG-500 in top pix here. Made in###China on tag, no solder dot or foam in drivers.
Hi, I'm confused here, is Spassear legit or not? I was looking on ebay to purchase the MH750 and he seems to be currently the only seller sending to North America. The other recommended seller (rwtf3024) doesn't deliver here. A single pair plus shipping from him is gonna cost me $30 so I just wanted to make sure I'm not wasting my money on a counterfeit. It's a shame that there aren't any boxed ones left, just modded and unlabeled ones.https://www.ebay.com/itm/352537526219
Spassear is back. I got real ones from that seller.
And here's a seller recommended back a few posts in this thread.

Spassear has been legit for me. I was mistaken in some posts because I ordered a few at the same time, and I deleted a bunch of badmouthing, but I missed the one you quote--edited now.
Spassear's prices did go way up, though. For $6.50 the MH750 are pretty great. For $30 there are probably better alternatives.

Looks legit to me with those two solder dots but there have been a few instances of some fakes having these dots as well. Do they sound tinny/sharp mids/crap in general? If it's the case then it's a fake else you have an original one.anyone can confirm if this is legit mh750?

thanks for the info
they sound nice , with more rumble in bass after using final e eartips . good earphone for relaxing.

my pair of MMCX modded MH750s just arrived. popped on the large silicone tips to get a good seal.
heavy channel imbalanced as to be expected with such cheapness - left was much louder than right - easy Peace/EAPO fix to dampen the left - likely not a perfect fix by any means between L/R but the center and width is even now, so I don't care.
tuned a treble shelf from 500hz up, by +0.4dB.
would only recommend to people who are willing to employ an EQ in the chain
edit: purchased from neo_futuredoit on ebay
