Today SONY announced Extra-Bass(XB) series headphones and IEM for basshead, mainly for dance, hip-hop lovers.
XB cans share "direct vibration structure" technology, that the key is to improve the sealing and increasing the air-pressure in the housing chamber. The housing itself is tightly sealed as well.

These are going to be launched on November 10th.
Full sized MDR-XB700(MSRP JPY 12,390), MDR-XB500(MSRP JPY 8,715), MDR-XB300(MSRP JPY 4,935), employ extra large ear pads to increase an air-pressure of the housing chamber. Diaphragms have more grooves than usual to ensure the motion ability in the high airpresure.
IEM MDR-XB40EX(MSRP JPY 6,195), MDR-XB20EX(MSRP JPY 3,675) employs improved sealing and ear pieces.
