You people are doing a big mistake. The last thing I'd do in a 100dB noise environment is to add more music to it.
Anyway, the Sony's approach is still better than clipping the bass at full volume, now that would be painful.

There comes a point when you have to accept you need phones with better isolation, or its just oo noisy to listen to music.
