Hello there

I am waiting for my new Sony 818 to arrive and although I believe that the bundled phones are ok I will probebly want to get a set of aftermarket earphones at some point soon.

Thanks to some guys in the Portable section I have narrowed down a shortish list for final consideration:

ER-4Ps,
Denon AH -C751s
Etymotic ER-6i
Shure SE310

So I guess I will chose from this little lot, but what about the Klipsch custom 2s or the great looking V-Moda Vibe In-Ear Earphones? Have any of you tried either of these with the 818?

Can you please post your choice and if anyone can give me more info about the Kipsch I would appreciate it.

Thanks

My Westone UM2s are a perfect match for my sony - but as you own a pair of EX082's you be mad not to use and mod them.... please look at my thread

The modded EX082 once its had 100hrs burn in will sound better than all the headphones you listed!

I'd go with the Denons. Mine sounded great on my brother's 818.

I'd agree. I don't have the C700s, but the C551s, and they are similar (the main difference is that the C551s have more bass impact, while the C700s have slightly clearer highs). The C551s sound absolutely fenomenal with my A818, and I'm sure the C700s do as well.
