Sonica & Win98SE

The Sonica doesn't seem to have Win98SE drivers only ME, 2000, and XP ones so it probably won't workin in that OS.

Many a times ME drivers work with 98...
So have you tried the Win ME drivers and it doesn't work?

I know that the USB support was quite lousy with Win 98/SE.
If you still have trouble, it's time to upgrade that Windows, I'm afraid.

I have not tried yet. A family member just gave me a AMD K6-333 laptop with Win98SE and I was going to try and use it for a jukebox pulling music files off a desktop in the basement. I need to wipe out the hard drive, reformat it, and reload the OS. The computer has a lot of junk on it. If the Sonica does not work, I will use the Onkyo UD-5 I have posted about earlier.

Nope... it did not work. The Sonica drivers did not work with 98SE. The laptop has some major problems... CD-ROM is broken and the monitor is going bad. So much for that project.
