I was wondering if anyone has attempted to use their Sonic Impact to drive their Senn headphones and what kind of results did this combo produce? I know some users use AKG 1000s with the Sonic Impact, but how would you go about using these with the Senns?

The Sonic Impact T-Amp is a power amp, not a headamp. The K1000 works with it because they were designed to be driven by power amps while the Sennheiser HD580/600/650 are designed to be driven by headamps and will not work with it. You can use most solid state poweramps to drive headphones using resistor networks, but due to the way that the T-Amp and other "Class-T" digital power amps work they will not work with them.

I tried it with my 580's and heard a little bit of hiss/noise. It was not bad, but
I decided not to do much more investigation.
