Songs you like that are way outside your normally preferred genre?

I definitely agree , I am not normally into rap/hip-hop stuff but I would have to say Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby is the one that is in my library but I would not normally choose that genre of music.

My library is a shotgun of different genres... I might be able to narrow down my "usuals" to Metal (symphonic, power, melodeath, industrial etc.), Rock (classic, hard, grunge, etc.) and Electronic (trance/psy/techno, synthpop/electroclash/industrial sythpop/darkwave/downtempo). If so, that still leaves VGM (chiptunes, remixes, metal covers, OSTs) and Classical (film scores, Wagner, Holst, Bach organ fugues). Hmmm.... ah!

Johnny Cash & Neko Case - The only two country acts I really like.

Whew! It's either good or bad to have diverse tastes.

The only stuff I don't generally listen to is hiphop and rap, but this is what I listen to any time I want to "pump myself up" for sports. The only rap-stuff I listen to for enjoyment is Eminem and Classified. For some reason I like those two, although not for long sessions.
