Songs/movies about headphones

and to drift even further off topic, kirsten dunst, who i think is the second more beautiful woman in the world, has her headphones on backwards for most of the time you see her wearing them in drop dead gorgeous.

which makes me a headphone geek and a movie continuity geek in one post. good god...

(i'd still have sex with kirsten dunst in a second though.)

second most beautiful?

eh, back on topic...title track to massive attack's blue lines references the "budakon headset." something i always remembered for some reason...that album is definately headphone music.

edit: as does "five man army" off the same album, referring to the "sony budakon."

I agree his homeset is a Sennheiser.

The ones he uses when commuting is KOSS. I haven't nailed the model yet.
The DVD shows them clearest hen he is opening up the store one morning. And I can make out the word KOSS on the can.

Landing on a runway in Chicago and I'm grounding all my dreams
of ever really seeing California, because I know what's in between
is something sensual in such non-conventional ways.
Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say.

Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say.
(Tonight I'm writing you) a million miles away

Tonight is all about "We miss you" (We miss you, We miss you, We miss you)
Tonight is all about "We miss you"
And I can't forget your style or your cynicism,
somehow it was like you were the first to listen to everything we said.
My smile's an open wound without you...and my hands are tied to pages inked to bring you back.

Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say.
(Tonight I'm writing you) a million miles away

Tonight is all about "We miss you" (We miss you, We miss you, We miss you)
Tonight is all about "We miss you now"

These friends are, new friends are golden [x3]
These friends are, new friends are...

Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say.
Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say.

Tricky Genius - Headphones

To fall asleep to your tape last night
(so warm)
Sounds go through the muscles
These abstract wordless
Move-ments
Move-move-move-move-move

They start off cells
That haven't been touched before

These cells are virgins
(waking up slowly)

My headphones
They saved my life
Your tape
It lulled me to sleep, to sleep ..

Nothing will be the same
(I'm asleep, I'm fast asleep)

I like this resonance
It elevates me
I don't recognize myself
This is very interesting

My headphones
They saved my life
Your tape
It lulled me to sleep, to sleep ...

I'm fast asleep now
Your still with me
(I'm fast asleep, I'm asleep)

My headphones
They saved my life
Your tape
It lulled me to sleep, to sleep ...

Not solely about headphones, but it has a mention: Corners of Your Mind by Ivy.

Dark stars in the summer skyline
Parked car with the lights still on
We lay low; we kill the radio
You smile, but there’s something wrong

Long days spent in silence
Long nights with the headphones on
Don’t know where you had to go
You’re already gone

There's a great track by the Jazz/Pop Bassist Victor Wooten called (and i'm not making this up "Hormones in the Headphones". From his album Yin-Yang.

It's a corker, and makes me smile when i glance around at my gear... lot of hormones in those RS-1's.
