1000+ Head-Fier
Back home tonight, I found a package waiting for me, which I knew contained a pair of silver K141 I bought a while ago on ebay pretty cheap. I was a bit surprised when I found them in their original box, complete with printed instructions and warranty card. And even more surprised when I checked the elastics and they were in excellent shape, and since the pads were an unusable sticky mess and the external foam half disintegrated, I guess nobody ever used these phones.
Five minutes later, with new pads and foam, the K141 are splendid, and sound so good I'm listening to them instead of my LP sextetts. They are a bit more forward and highs are more pronounced, very pleasant cans, maybe the best value I got for my money till now. I'm so happy I could not resist sharing it here. I will never be able to thank all of you head-fiers enough, especially the AKG gurus and the people in the wonderful ortho thread.
