with windows 8.1 while playing music in foobar using wasapi the system mixer and the sound card control panel effects were completely bypassed... i could switch the effects on and off with no change while playing audio in foobar... which i liked because i could leave them on for gaming (virtual surround etc) same thing with the system volume... i could go from 100 to 0 with no change

since windows 10 using the same settings in foobar and confirming exclusive mode check boxes are checked in the windows settings the system volume and sound card effects are not bypassed

Latest Win10 update also has lower gain. Before the update Win10 worked the same as Win8.1.
