Hello there,
what would you recommend in this situation?
Needing something for home use, comfort and sound quality are top priority.
I just returned a Sennheiser HD25 SP II because of its piercing highs and sibilance issues. I'm looking for something that is not tiring to listen to, unlike these Senns.
Mostly listening to jazz and ambient, occasionally rock.
I'm playing flac through a sansa clip+ and could spend around 100$.

Looking at the Creative Aurvana Live and the Audio Technica m50s at this point but am open to any recommendations.

Thanks!

Hello!

Not sure about the HD25 SP II, but I personally do not find the HD439 piercing, instead, there's a bit of roll off at the highs. If you have lose your confident on HD439, the Sony MDR-7506 does the above mentioned genre great as well!

Hope this helps!
Billson :)
