Deep soothing male voice... *da da dum da dum da dummm* - "something on/to the ground" - (I realise useless) -stumble on the ground, crumble to the ground?

I think it's in a film...

While i realise the chances of the song being found are very minimal i like the sound of a soothing low male voice anyway so suggestions are welcome however obscure... It is mainstream - A love song, maybe sort of tragic.

It's one of those things where you have one hook line/melody at the end of a chorus of verse that just drives you insain, you can't remember the actual lyrics just that small loop of melody going round and round for days.  

Reminds me of austin powers eric costello style voice but lower and obviously less upbeat... while at the same time reminds me of candle in the wind... 

This post is just my mind crumbling and hoping by some crazed longshot someone thinks/thought the same and remembered... I don't know but whatever.

I'M GOING INSANE.

It's very embarrassing, i took the day off of work today because of this.

Out of any song ever for me to forget/not recognise, James Taylor - Fire and and Rain.

 

One of the best of all time - Maybe emphasised by my two day manic search.
