Hello everyone,

Coming from a Xonar STX sound card, I wanted something better for my Sennheiser HD 650 headphone, so I bought a ADL Espirit DAC/AMP to replace my Xonar STX.
The problem is, I cant get it to work for some reason.

I did install the PC driver, and it shows the device in control panel.
I plugged in my HD 650 into the 6,3mm headphone jack, and flipped the switch to 'USB'. I also put the switch from 192khz to 96khz, en turned on/off the DAC.

But when I want to play music or anything, I just dont hear anything.. I turned up the volume knotch of course, but no sound.

Also when I open up the ADL ESPRIT USB DAC CPL shortcut on my desktop, It keeps showing: ''ASIO Driver status: Non-Active'' and ''Stop''

What am I missing here?  I just cant find out what is wrong with it.

Sound like maybe the driver did not load correctly.
Might try deleting it and reinstalling it.
Might even try updating your motherboard's USB drivers.

Did you remove the Essence STX and the Asus software?

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

I solved the problem myself, but it was something far more different then I tought.
First of all, I rebooted my PC and the only thing I did hear was skype starting up!   nothing else.      It appeared that the other sounds where coming from the speakers which... I did not have connected :)   I disabled the speakers in my control panel, and now everything works fine!

It appeared it had nothing to do with that driver.
