Some special problems regarding the X1 2nd gen -- by James

(Note: The 'X1' in this article all refer to the X1 2nd gen)

1. What to do when certain track can't be played.

Firstly please check whether the format is within the support range of the X1. Some files such as multichannel DTS WAV files and APE files of high compression level (extra high or insane) are not supported by the X1.
If you confirm the track format is within the support range but cannot be played, please kindly upload the track to dropbox or other online drives, then email the download link as well as detailed description of the issues to our support email: support@fiio.net

2. About the passwords when connecting the X1 to car audio via Bluetooth.

Usually you are required to input passwords when connecting to car audio via Bluetooth, but X1 doesn't have a keyboard, so you cannot input password on it. Generally the connection passwords that the X1 can accept are "0000" or "8888". So if the connection passwords from your car audio's Bluetooth are not "0000" or "8888", it cannot be connected to the X1 via Bluetooth.
Under this circumstance, you can set the connection passwords to "0000" or "8888" in the Bluetooth settings of your car audio.

3. Certain Bluetooth headphones can't be supported by X1.

X1's Bluetooth is designed following the Bluetooth standards, so technically all the Bluetooth sending/receiving devices are compatible with it if they also follow the Bluetooth standards. If they can’t match, the problem could be from the X1, but also could from the Bluetooth headphone.
If X1 cannot be connected to a certain headphone or cannot work properly, please contact our customer service, and feedback with the exact model and detailed information so that we can know the issue and analyze it. Of course, you can also feedback to the Bluetooth headphone manufacturer, accelerating the speed of solving the issue.

4. Issues regarding the protecting films

We've already applied a protective film on the X1 before it leaves the factory. It has 2 layers, the surface is to be ripped off, and the in-layer is the real protecting film. Considering that some people may fancy the smooth texture of the glass panel, we did not cover the panel below.
As for the supplied spare matte film, it's aimed to cover the whole glass panel. So please don't apply it without taking off the film on the screen first. The correct way is first peeling off all the 2 layers of film on screen and then applying the matte film.
Below picture shows what you will get if you don't rip of the film on the screen first.

5. How to handle the situations that the X1 collects fingerprints easily and the touch wheel is too smooth?

The X1's font side is a piece of tempered glass, so we can't guarantee both beauty and fingerprint-proof under the technical condition at present. In consideration of this, we've applied a screen protecting film and also provided two matte glass panel protecting films.
So, ripping off the 2 layers of the screen protecting films and applying the matte film can solve this problem.
We need to also point out that the X1's tempered glass panel has strong resistance to scratching. So you can choose whether to apply the film or not, and the handfeel problem can vary from people to people.

6. Why some people have 3 High-Res stickers in their X1's accessories but I have none?

The massive production of X1 begins in September. But our Japanese distributor gave us feedback later that Hi-Res certificate authority allows only one sticker to be affixed to the product body, and giving away 3 stickers is not permitted. So we have changed to affix only one sticker to X1's back after the feedback.
Please understand that it's changed because of the regulation from the certificate authority.

7. What to do when you encounter any problems.
