I agree with kool bubba ice. Vintage owns big time if you know what you want and where to look. I have set my sights on old AKGs for now.

My vote is the Grado SR80i or the Alessandro MS1. When I think "Retro" I think Grado.

But also check out the Audio Technica SQ5.

Thanks for the feedback. I should say that closed would probably preferable because I'll probably be wanting to take this out and about so don't really want to be annoying people.

Really like the Panasonic RP-HTX7 and they're a good price too.
Still, some of the Koss models look great and the Grados are also awesome (albeit it at the higher end of the pricing).

Don't know much about the Audio Technica brand but they've got some interesting options too.

Still liking those Panasonic ones though, hmm.
