From what I noticed:

Different Grado pads
Different Grado cables
Amp has more inputs than the switch allows

Did you mod the Grado cable or just wrap tape around the joint?
How much is that amp? It looks purty. **searches**

The pads is modded Sennheiser HD414 pads.
I just wrapped tape around the cable for a more secure fit. I didn't like that the cable only was secured on the inside. You could still move the cable and now it is really fastened.

Just taped it around. Now it can't move. I think that this is a great Grado tweak.

Yeah. You can use the Sugden as a preamp and it is a very good one too. It has 3 line inputs and pre out.
