solid tech rack of silence

for isolation skeptics out there, I have to say i was one of u guys and this product has proven me wrong. After putting my stuff on it, i definitely heard more separation, more mid range, more air, more vivid images, althought i havent noticed an improvement in the high and the low yet.

However, its not a kind of "WOW" revelation, all improvements were slight (the midrange was noticeable though). For its price and its pain in the ass to install process, I do find it hard to recommend spending on isolation. I got this feeling that the $ is better spent on the source.

Putting Feet of Silence between rack and component gives heavy bass. When I removed the Feet the midrange was emphasized, lows and highs were lacking.

You mean adding Feet of Silence to the Rack of Silence, right? If this is true, it sounds like the Rack of Silence by itself is quite a bad value. Approximately $1600 to end up with lacking lows and highs?

Sounds like a source upgrade or Valhalla is a better value.

Yes. I haven't tried the Rack by itself so I don't know the value, I started with 3 steps of isolation for the source and 2 steps for the amp. It seems to be just a tone control if you don't use Feet or suspension.

When I first got the rack it made the biggest improvement I heard at that time, much bigger than Valhalla power cord. The increase in blackness made bass transients so heavy and fast that I got fatigued within minutes. It took months getting used to the speed!

Yes, the improvement was bigger than 3 Valhalla power cords which I added to my system 3 months later.

It was the longest time I have been without upgrading my system, I couldn't upgrade to the Valhallas sooner because I had not adapted to my system yet. The improvement was that big.

Vibration is what messes up synergy the most, that's why people search around for sources and amps to find the magic match, it's a nightmare trying to get that to work! But they don't know that if you remove the vibration from entering the gear in the first place the problem is solved and you get perfect synergy.
My sources and amps sounded very different without isolation, but on the same Rack + Feet they sounded almost the same.

Two stores have it for $455, they have increased the price again, twice in a year! The 3rd store is late in increasing their prices again, it's still $420 there.
