Hi -

I am looking for a POWERFUL solid state (home/desk) amp that will drive my AKG K601s. Thinking of the Heed CanAmp. Inquired about the Original Master but it is discontinued. What other powerful amps are out there that would drive these phones with authority? Jazz/Classical/Acoustic is my preference and the budget is $450 or less.

First post but I recently bought a Gilmore Lite with standard elpac power supply from a forum member (djshadow) to use with my AKG K701 and it drives them superbly.
