Interesting. I’ll give that a test later, I’m already going to be fine tuning some new overclocks and I’ve not explored ssd speeds yet.

From what I remember it prevents one speed from being the bottleneck and gives insight into the quality of the controller.

I have listen to the noise floor with an HDD and it is crazy noisy. Getting an SSD is the number one priority in cleaning your computer sound in my opinion. If I would start from point A again, that would be the first thing I do.
