Solid State Amps for Bright Headphones

Why don't you use EQ? A DAC with treble roll-off is not a good idea IMO, since you may change your headphones later and the roll-off would suck then.

I use a CD player via coax to my DAC for playback so EQ is not an option.

The Polaris amp from http://garage1217.com (not expensive) or the Graham Slee Ultra Linear from http://gspaudio.co.uk/ (expensive) might work. Both are SS amp designed to partly reproduce the smooth treble experience of tube amps. I haven't heard the Polaris, but I did hear the Ultra Linear, and it's good!

Garage Polaris is a great suggestion. Use it occasionally with my T1's and HD600's with great results and there is an adjustable filter on the Polaris for further rolling down the higher frequencies so you can adjust to your own taste.
