I wanted some small speaker stands to elevate my Bose Music Monitors but for the life of me I couldn't find any small enough so I decided to make a pair. Two 2" x 4" x 100mm solid aluminium billets did the job nicely with 4 rubber feet per stand and a rubber pad along the top. They work well. I've decided to leave them as raw billet and not polish them as I quite like the slightly industrial look to them.
