Software to export/copy files with specific tags from my collection to a different folder?

So, I've just got rid of my last iDevice and now have an Android phone and an 'audiophile' DAP.

Probably the best thing about iTunes was the way I could create a playlist based on the way my files were tagged and have the tunes automagically transferred to my iDevice, and I'm struggling to replicate that with my new set up.

What I need is a way of copying files from my folder of FLACs that have particular tags (5*, or genre = 'folk',  for example) into a folder that I can then use to transfer the files to my phone (Sony Xperia Z) and DAP (iBasso DX50).

Does this make sense? Does something exist that will let me do that? Am I massively over-analysing the problem and there's a trivially easy way of doing what I want?

Not sure I understand. I use MediaMonkey, and I can select to show just a particular genre and then create a playlist from it. Or select in the playlist window that is for that genre and have it copy files to a particular folder. I sometimes use MusicBee on my laptop, and there's a way to do that, too. Is that what you are talking being able to do?
