So you think you are an audiophile...do you even own your own personal utility pole?

So saw this the other day on WSJ...http://www.wsj.com/articles/a-gift-for-music-lovers-who-have-it-all-a-personal-utility-pole-1471189463

Well, this guy built a concrete subwoofer under the floor of his listening room.

I'd much rather not have to deal with the other issues of my own utility pole (it looks like he's blocking an originally blank section of sidewalk; a strong storm can disconnect the cables; etc) and just get solar panels and a Tesla home battery. Or two, that way one of them runs the audio system while the other runs two pairs of plugs in the kitchen or garage (fridge, oven, sous vide circulator in the kitchen; washing machine and dryer, maybe also a freezer in the garage). You get back up power in case another tsunami disables a power plant, so if your house wasn't washed away along with radioactive waste, you can still run a fridge and keep meat from spoiling.

I guess this is an extreme case - which of course normal logic does not apply to...
