agreed - for me, there has to be a VERY compelling reason to even get ON a plane, these days. I've had my boss ask me to fly out on business (just to meet others in my remote offsite group) and I've turned that down since I didn't see that as truly necessary and worth the hassle.

flying is no fun anymore. I stopped, pretty much completely, about 5 yrs ago or more. until the industry starts to treat travelers with respect, I don't see the need to be herded about and treated with contempt and suspicion.
