so its freezing outside, im off from work today
decided to clean up a little.

i go through the closet and low and behold.. i stumble upon this pair of speakers and a old sony stereo unit.

i take off the covers and its a design accoustics ps-6 from audiotechnica..
did a bit of research.. these speakers should be from 80s?
for its age, there is no damage to the foams and stuff.
nice...

next to the speakers i found made in japan (wow thats really old xd)
Sony FH-808R, friggin thing is heavyyy for its size.. its about the same size as the speaker.

i quickly dusted everything off, ran into my pile of cables and made some speaker cables from some copper 16ga, braided 4 wires x2, viola! instant cables.

took my zu pviot cable. hooked up my powerbook to the cd/aux in.

before i played anything, i like the stereo sit idle and warm up a bit.. god knows how long its been in the closet.

started itunes..
WOW, its niceeee . the tweeters are so nice. woofer is pretty decent.

does anyone have any more info on these?
ive had the speakers running in for about 4 hours now.
it started sounding cleaner now that most of the dust has be shaken off. lol

nice!
i took apart the stereo, removed the FM tuner, and the cassette deck.
HOTNESS! now its a amp.. nice.. gotta love old school gear.
not to mention it weighs a ton..

what do yall think? >=}

honestly after these 3 days of use. the speakers and amp has smoothed out alot.

i think ill keep them on my table to use now. keke =X

good way to put old school to use right?

Nice closet find. Better check the rest of your closets too! Who knows what else you might find.
