Correct. Nothing will change but the OS itself. You can look at the list of programs that are compatible, honestly there aren't that many(that are important) that won't work with SL

So I just installed it, everything went fine and dandy! Surprisingly I also got an extra 12GB of space, which is nice seeing as I'm constantly deleting stuff to make space. Finder opens with an Emeril-esque 'BAM'.

Only disappointment is the huge-ass icons in grid view, which is just plain stupid given the old smaller icons worked just fine.

After I installed it I had an extra 10 gigs. Wow. I guess the old OS was a pig. Seems to be running fine. "feels" quicker.

I just installed snow leopard this morning, no problems at all and gained about 7GB in the process which is always a bonus.

Also found a small app that shows if you have a 64 bit processor, if your running in 32 or 64bit etc, here's the results of mine.

I only have the amarra mini demo at the moment but during the install SL seems to delete the ilok extension, so when you try to launch it opens a web page to the download link of the ilok extention file needed. Once installed it all works fine again.

The audio midi setup has had a visual makeover but i'm not sure if there have been any SQ changes made at the same time, although it does seem to be now running in 64bit. To my ears everything sounds pretty much the same as it was in leopard, with a noticeable improvement when using amarra.

But i am holding off buying amarra for a bit to see if there would be any improvement if there was a 64bit version of itunes.

Would you be so kind as to provide a link to this App?

Sure thing the Link is Here. Scroll down to near the end of the page 1.2.3 is the latest version.

As usual when downloading anything from the net, you do so at your own risk

I read on some other boards that you can add PowerPC
compatibility to Snow Leopard. You have to choose custom
options, or something like that. This way you can still
run things like old Mac games (Avernum & Geneforge
come to mind).

I never saw an option during install to do this, so be
sure to read the readme instructions for how to do it
properly. Right now I don't need it but it's good to
know that it's there.

Yea there is an option to do it. Also I think someone mentioned you can do it via the Utility panel, but not sure about that.
