I'm getting antsy....there's a CD I really want that's closing in about 1.5 minutes. Wish me luck! Be right back to let you know what it was, and if I got it or not.
Phew! Got it! I bid on a Japanese import digital remaster of Rosie Vela's long-out-of-print-in-the-U.S. album titled Zazu. Sweet!
I have it on vinyl, and then bought it on CD off of eBay for $39.11. I don't know how I managed it (especially since, as a few of you may know, I tend to take very good care of my stuff), but I ended up scratching the CD so badly that it started skipping today. I freaked out until I saw this one on auction today. Apparently it's a new digital remaster of Zazu and would supposedly sound better than the one I have now. If that's the case, then that's bonus.
Jude, if you want to add something to your SACD collection, might I recommend
- The Film Music of Jerry Goldsmith (Telarc)
I've never heard the SACD version, but the music itself is excellent (if you like film music, and you like Gladiator, right?)
and I've heard that the recording quality is very good on the SACD.
BTW: How's the Dances with wolves CD you got recently?
