paired with a Topping L30 II amp , it is a good sounding unit this SU-1 but i stopped using it , because I didn't like the vocals positioning . I prefer vocal placement to be slightly more forward.

Same here, it sounds pleasant but have a bit rough edges.
I have used a dozen and more of DACs and for 60 euro the price i bought it , it is phenomenal . But soundstage is flat there is not 3D dimensionality it is nicely placed in the soundstage but for 60 EU you cannot expect everything , you get what you pay and vocals are a bit more distant than what i normally like , and it also has a very slight bite on the highs . I guess it also has to do with pairing it with the right headphone or IEM . I think warm sets benefit greatly from SU-1 unlike neutral or bright devices .

At this price, SU-1 is awesome. Personally, I feel it's better than a lot low/mid priced Dacs, I had Wiim ultra and Xduoo TA-22 back then. I think SU-1 is a clear winner, or maybe I just preferred AKM sounds.

The SU-1 is great, but it should be priced lower. I also have the Topping E30 II Lite, it’s also good.
