I've got a budget of about $350 and am in need of small footprint CD player to use at the computer. My choices (so far) are:

1. Used Linn Mimik

2. New Teac Reference 3 disc CD player with 1 bit D/A

3. New Teac Reference DVD/CD combo with 24/96 D/A (btw, I have no use for the DVD aspect)

All are in budget. I'm most intrigued by the Linn (though it's probably four years old) but I suspect the Teac is the safer bet. The Linn seems to represent a unique chance to snag an audiophile source that would otherwise be outside my budget.

If you would go with the Teac, which of the two would you choose?

I am a rank nOOb on source issues. I'll be using a Corda HA-1 MkII amp and some ATH-900s with the new CD player.

Any advice?
