So I was talked into buying a Vorzuge Pure amp with my JH Roxanne's. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great, but...
I got it because my cypher labs Theorem has an annoyingly-loud (to me) noise floor with the Roxannes. I couldn't enjoy the music for the damned noise.
I have used the theorem as a DAC between my iPhone and Vorzuge amp, and it's great. But really bulky.
Can you guys suggest a tiny DAC to replace the theorem in that setup?
Before you start on the iPhone, please understand that I prefer this at the moment for convenience. I have a massive iTunes library, and am thinking about signing up with Tidal. My little Fiio X1 can't stream.
Oh, and I tried going from the iPhone headphone out to Vorzuge input, and I get music, but also a very loud warble-bleep-bloop noise, presumably from the iPhone's radio. If I should quiet that, I'd be happy with the phone+amp for my portable rig.
