How much SQ difference is there between the Slimx 350 and Slimx 550? I wanted to get one but am not clear on the differences.

The actual Sound is what I am interested more than any other feature differences.

I've read reviews that claim that the SQ of the 550 is slightly lesser because they wanted to extend battery life, etc. I've read reviews that claim that the 550 is superior. I'm guessing that if there is a difference, it's very, very minor. One thing the 550 has that's worth noting is an optical line out.

There's very little difference in the SQ between the two. I'm in the camp that feels the 550 is just a tad better, but my ears are so accustomed to the iRiver sound that I doubt I could really tell them apart. So much depends on the quality of the recording and your phones. Both do provide better than average SQ.

I have had a chance to hear one of the models, the 350 and it is very good sound.
