My question is very simple: is it better to go for the Soundmagic E11 or the E50? I have to say I can get the E50 for the same price as the E11 (outlet offer). Differences? Pros&cons?

Haven't heard an E11 yet but I do have the E10 and E50. The E11 would obviously be the most updated design in terms of new technology. There is a nice review on Headfonics from September (I consider Headfonics a reputable resource, personally) you might check out, if you have not already.

I find the E10 to have a bit smoother top end overall, just a more pleasing signature IMO. The E50 can occasionally be a bit zingy on top, but that's just my take and YM could of course vary. E11 is supposed to be a meaningful step up from the E10.

IMO the E11 is a lot better than the E50.
