I found a really tempting deal for the beyer dt880 but im not 100% cause ive never heard a beyer before. Ive looked everywhere and it seems there are no beyers in Melbourne

well id like to know what is the most similar can to the 880 so that i can get an idea of what it will sound like if i choose to get it. I have a general idea of what sould sound a bit like it. maybe the k601, 501, er6i (i have it)

there is stax and grado but no beyer!!!

Ive looked at headroom's frequency response graphs and it seems that the akg 601s and 501s have the most similar sound. Is this right?

can some1 please give me a direction????

The K501 have a rather different sound sig compared to the DT880. Different mids, different highs, different bass.

From my experience, I think the ER4 have a lot of similarities with the DT880.

so the etys that i listen to and love every day is the sound that is most similar to the 880s!!!! i think im gonna like this

I'm guessing DT880 (newer version) right? Not the 2003 model.
