For example the electrostatic that can suffer from wet and moist area.

No one's answered this in a while, so I thought I'd at least confirm your suggestion. I use the stuff all the time. You should find it often when you're unpackaging electronics items.

Keep in mind that the paper-bag silica gel is not meant to be continuously re-used. The bags will split eventually, and spill the silica gel everywhere. I think the little plastic cylinder kind is much better.
