Silent computer - new fans and case

I used to have a Fractal Design R2 with 2x120mm Sycthe Gentle Typhoons 1850rpm in the front and another in the rear which were controlled using a nice fan controller from NZXT. Had to have my ear up against the case to hear anything when they were on low (most of the time)

The NH-D14 is pretty good as it is, to me the ANC seems a bit overkill. But maybe there are cases where it can be useful, especially if your fan is outside the case (think liquid cooling).

In my case (NH-D14 in an Antec P280), there's noise only if the fans are at full speed (1500 rpm), which never happens. The cooling stabilizes at around 700-800 rpm, and you'll really have to put your ear close to the chasis to hear the faint whirring.

Also, it helps if you have atleast a single intake fan that creates positive pressure, and helps cool the HDDs as well.
