Silencing your PC for proper musical experience

i'm a big fan of the antec sonata (i've had one before, but sold it for a silverstone htpc case).

with this case, coupled with the 380 (or 420) watt psu, and XP-90 or XP-120 heatsink + panaflo fan, you're computer will be pretty silent.

the 120mm sonata case fan is pretty quiet already, all you need is a decent videocard fan (in this case, i'm using a passive one from zalman...ZM80C-HP and if you're concerned about airflow, there's always the option of the 80mm OP-1 fan...

[edit] you may also want to look into the antec p-180. To the best of my knowledge, it does not come with a powersupply though (i may be mistaken)

I use an Antec P160 case w/ (2) 120mm Antec SmartCool fans for my music! & work rig.
I can not hear this rig unless I have my head turned sideways and my ear is as close as possible to the case.
IMHO, bang for buck, if you want to quiet your comp, silence the fans! & isolate the hard drives.

The slow deaf continues!
via the Slam! props to sacd lover!
