Although I like the sound of my Fiio X1 2nd Gen, I'm sick of its slow transfer rate, lag and general bugginess. I want out!

I'd like to know if there's a cheap DAP (under AUD$300 - that's in dollaroos) that sounds better and it's not filled with bugs.
The X3 ii seems to have similar issues to the X1 ii and it appears to have the same DAC too, so that's off the table.
I'm thinking of the Shanling M2S or maybe stretch the budget a bit to a Sony NW-A35.

Anyone have any recommendations?

This, excellent little DAP, no lag on mine, super easy to use and great sounding

I'd recommend an iBasso DX80. Upgraded from my Fiio X3 and would highly recommend.
