I couldn't find one, so I'll start it.  I just opened them up today.  Plugged them in to the backup Ipod, unamped, and all I can say is amazing.  Good bass (but I'm not a basshead), and good level even without the XM4.  Not sure if it's enough for flying, or if I will want the extra push the amp provides, but it is early, after all.  I put them on infinite shuffle to burn in for a few days, but initial impressions of the Buddy Rich Big Band (my ear-calibrated test recording) is excellent clarity, maybe a touch crackly on the very top end of cymbals but this could easily be either lack of break-in or artifacts from digital compression of such complex waveforms.  Probably both.  Either way, I knew I was getting into critical headphones, and that's exactly what I want.  They definitely have a different sound than my 580s, but I needed something closed for travel.  So, 4 hours in, far beyond expectations, and I can't wait to get further down the road with these.
