XD i just bought mine for 93 and change, the recent positive reviews [and xmas season] have caused a slight increase in price lately.

well, while i'm here, i skimmed this: 2.5mm male Convert to 3.5mm Female Jack Headphone Cable - eBay (item 280439972360 end time Dec-27-09 06:16:37 PST) from the srh840 impressions thread. it's to help alleviate those who dislike the coiled cable [which i love incidentally]. i bought one so i can couple it with a short 3.5mm male ended cable for my [future] sansa clip+ 8gb. a great audio playing solution all in a package a little more than the shure's profile.

You should start i have found some great deals in there, you just have to check the reputation of the seller... If you buy only from high rep seller's you shouldnt worry much, also thats a Shure certified seller so its 100% legit.

BTW it's cheaper from Northern Sound & Light shipped by a couple of bucks and they are an authorized Shure reseller. You're better off buying from them unless you have to pay w/paypal.

$130 for SRH840 any day of the week from RMC Audio... SRH440 for less than $79 for sure... not sure what the big deal is here.

I just bought mine from here, thanks for the heads up. Saved me quite a bit since the next lowest price i found was 99+shipping.
