I'm currently in the market for another closed headphones. I own the Sennheiser Momentum Over Ears, and while i do enjoy them i'd like to get a slightly bassier closed headphone. I loved the V-moda Crossfade M100s when i tried them on, but i was wondering whether the 1540s would be a better alternative/upgrade? What do you guys recommend? Thanks in advance :)

The Shure is not a good option for someone wanting more bass.

Disagree. Shures are noticeably bassier than Momentum. I don't consider the Momentums to be bass enhanced at all and think of it as just a warm headphone with relaxed highs. Shures are a little v shaped with more bass and treble presence is pretty all recordings

So you hear the Shure as having a bassier sound than the M100?

I've only heard the M100 a couple times but I thought it had too much bass. So no, but OP said he wants a "slightly bassier closed headphone" and the Shure deliver that compared to the momentum whereas the M100 deliver more than slightly bassier.

Perhaps he should read the Inner Fidelity reviews of each before deciding:

Thanks for the replies, guys :) Unfortunately, i stumbled across an unbelievable deal for the Sennheiser Hd650s and i couldn't pass it up. So much for buying a closed headphone haha I also tried out the Denon D600 headphones, but for the price i didn't think they were anything special. I'll definitely look into the SRH1540s but that will be sometime in the future.
