After two years of ownership, my Shure SE846 collar seal has broken off from continuous filter changing so I scrapped the seal off with my nail and now the nozzle wiggles a tiny bit in the housing since there is a gap between the housing and the collar.
Is this an issue I have to look into or just ignore? I'm afraid the SQ might suffer but then again it probably wont matter since the nozzle's seal is intact so not sound can "leak" from the sides.
Also, I use the IEM's without a filter since I think it presents music with more loudness and sounds more airy. Will this be an issue in the longrun?
Not sure if I should send them in for repair. What do you guys think?
