I have an out of warranty pair of the Shure SE846. The pin inside the MMCX connector on the left in ear monitor broke off when attaching or detaching a cable...
Shure, as you know has a flat rate of 295 to replace it by sending it in...but they will keep my perfectly functional (not functional) ear phone.
Does anyone have any experience or recommendations on reshelling it with a new connector? Or any kind of recommendation on who to source the MMCX from? The shell is undamaged (not sure if it can survive the opening up?)
