I use them with my ipod, and i would like to know how to make them LESS noise isolating. I have to take a bus to school, and I would just like to know which tips are best for letting in the most noise. Currently I am using black foams. This is important because I have to hear what is going on around me.

The grey silicones might be best suited for your purpose. However, the SE530 is designed to attenuate outside noise. That's one of its strengths.

If you're not listening to bassy music, I would just pull them out a tiny bit.

The grey silicones let in the most outside sound, but it results in thin sound and very little bass.

I cannot get even a decent seal with my grey silicones. I will just keep myself alert when listening, but thanks anyways guys.

Can't you just turn the volume down a bit?

Take off the ear tips and then make tiny holes in them all over. Even if you cam make some going vertical. Or use a much small tip for your ear.
