I'm not Shure about you guys but I think the SE425 is quite a bit underrated. I know there are so many in ears better than the Shure SE425 in 2019, but I think they have such a unique laid back sound. Also they seem to respond very well to eq, as I have somewhat turned it into a warmer sounding in ear with some eq'ing. What do you all think about it?

Ha ha, no love for the SE425. I would agree with you but there are some things lacking on the 425 (ie. bass). The mids / vocals are absolutely top notch but other than that, no bueno. Also, there are so many chi-fi IEMs out that these are not going to get any love.

Think in-ear HD600s. They scale well, but sound awful out of an iPhone. I have found them to work well with class A and tube hybrid amps.
