Hi guys, I'm obviously new here. I have had 3 pairs of the shure 215s and every pair had broken in less than a year, I'm not very rough on them. One earbud always dies out.

Anyways, I was looking for recommendations on an alternative that would fit my needs.

I primarily will use them for running, so preferably Id like them to be bassy heavy yet also not trashy. Sub 200 price point

Very vague but also am looking for really general responses.

Thanks guys

Have you tried cleaning the contacts?  I use my SE215 for running as well and I noticed that sweat can corrode the contacts between the IEM and the cable which has the tendency to cut out.  Upon advice from Ted at Headphone Lounge, I purchased some deoxit and applied with a toothpick and thin tissue paper.  That seemed to do the trick for me.

If that doesn't work, Westone makes the ADV series IEMs which supposedly is designed to be more rugged.  I don't have any experience with these, however.
