Hello guys,
I need your help on choosing those 2. I listen to quite a broad genre of music but mostly EDM or acoustic like Jason Mraz or even John Mayer and also Lorde. I don't really need that much of a bass earphones as I already have the JVC Fx3x so I'd rather get a flatter and more precise sounding earphones if that makes sense.
Thank you in advance :)

Neither the Shure or S4 are flat nor precise at all. Hifiman RE-400 is better than both by a fair margin and is pretty neutral, which might mean it won't have enough bass for you, but hey you asked for flat and precise.

Look into the Vsonic GR07 bass edition, which is just a little more than the Shure and sound is much much better. Or Vsonic VSD1/VSD1S which are bargains and outperform both of those as well with a flatter more precise tonality but with a bit of fun thrown in.
