I RMA'd my original Shure E2Cs a little over a year ago due to the same problem...after about a year, the headphones would start crackling and only playing out of one ear. Moving the plug seems to help a little, but it's impossible to listen to these while walking around basically.

Is there an easy fix for this problem? They're out of warranty now, so if there is no easy fix I'll probably just upgrade to a set of Audeo PFE 111s.
